DESTINY OR DENSITY? For each acre we save from development, we help to ensure Black Mountain’s destiny as an invaluable scenic, ecological, geological and historical landmark. DESTINY? This is what Black Mountain looks like today with 20 homes near its summit nature preserve, some of which blend into the mountain. Are Black Mountain’s slopes destined to remain in this almost pristine state? OR DENSITY? This is what Black Mountain will look like if 150 to 200 houses are erected on the 500 acres that surround the existing summit preserve. Yes, the Threat is Real.
